So hopefully devs of Microsoft game titles will actively work to get their titles ✅Verified on Deck. While it's true that Valve is working to make Linux a much more viable option for PC gamers Linux would only become a serious threat to Windows if Microsoft did something to make Windows intolerable for gamers. One concern I have for Microsoft titles is that they might avoid specifically optimizing for the Deck because they may view it as a threat to Windows. But ultimately we won't know until someone tries it out on a Deck or a comparable test setup. Now I'm not a Halo player but, from what I've read, Halo Infinite is being geared towards being a competitive esports FPS and so typically competitive FPSes are often highly optimized for higher frame rates so that should possibly make things even more hopeful for good performance on Deck. People sometimes underestimate just how many fewer pixels a game has to push at 720p compared to higher resolutions and so for many games I think people may be pleasantly surprised. Based on Valve's expectations the worst case would be 30 FPS on low settings but most games will do much better. Valve considers the Deck powerful enough to run "current" AAA games at it's native resolution of 720p.
